Fun Painting Projects

A few of you have been asking to see pics. of the paint in my kitchen. (Since I live so far away no one ever drives all the way out to my casa.) I figured while I was posting a pic. of my kitchen I'd do the fun paint in my master bedroom and Tytan's room too. I tried to cut out as many decorations as possible so you could see the paint. I used to hate the diamonds in the kitchen but they are growing on me. Two walls in the kitchen are red and the other two diamonds. At first I felt like I was living in the circus but now the bright colors make me feel happy every time I'm in there. The master bedroom is actually painted with wood stain. Crazy but I saw it on trading spaces and I loved it. It makes it look like it is faux (sp.) painted but its not. The only down fall of wood stain is that it smells terrible. But I thought the finished product was worth it.

Recipes

With the weather so great right now I feel like its time for a change. I am getting sick and tired of the same ol' dinners I've been making. Pete is so nice he never complains but I'm ready for something different. If any of you have a recipe you've been lovin lately let me know. Either post it in the comments or post one on your blog and let me know. One of my favorite Friday night dinners is homemade pizza and a smoothie. I know I'm dumb but I just don't feel as guilty when the pizza is homemade. I can't take any credit for this recipe because I stole it from Papered Chef. Hope you all enjoy it. HOMEMADE PIZZA 1 T cornmeal (don't mix in dough) 1 1/2 C flour 1 package (1/4 oz.) quick rising yeast 1 t sugar 1/2 t salt 1/2 C very warm water (125-130 f) 1 T vegtable oil 1/2 C pizza sauce Any topping you may like. My favs. pepporoni and pineapple or BBQ chicken. 1. preheat oven to 400 f. sprinkle baking stone or cookie sheet with corn meal. Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in medium bowl. Add water and oil, stir until mixture forms a ball. If sticky add little bits of flour until not sticky. 2. Place dough on lightly floured surface, knead until smooth. Cover dough and let rise 10 min. 3. roll dough out on pan. Spread pizza sauce onto dough (leave edge for crust) Top with desired toppings. I like a soft crust so I rub a little oil on the crust. Bake 16-18 min. or until golden brown. Serves 2 adults or 4 children.

Eight Months

Tytan turned eight months on easter. He is growing up so fast I can hardly believe it. He has his two bottom teeth and hopefully his top two pretty soon. I swear just in the past few weeks he has started to get in to everything. My little monkey climbs into and on anything he can. We have just started landscaping our backyard, so half of it is nice the other half is still rocks and dirt. Of course every time we are playing in the back yard he heads straight for the dirt and eats all the rocks. I guess he is a boy what else should I expect. I had to post a few pics. just to celebrate his 8 months being in our fam. I seem to love each month more and more. Don't get me wrong I loved the days when he slept all the time and barely moved around, but I love how he is turning into a little boy not just a baby any more. I am loving every minute of him and am so blessed to have him in my life.

G.I. Results

We went to the hospital Friday to get a few tests done to find out why Tytan refuses to eat. It went pretty well. The first test they did showed that he knows how to suck and swallow. The second test showed that when he eats instead of of his food going down his esophagus it goes down his wind pipe. They said it hurts a lot and thats why he wouldn't want to eat. The more they talked about it the more it made sense. He has to go in for a surgery on the 26th to see if they can fix the problem or if he will grow out of it. I am so happy they finally found out what is going on with him. Maybe one of these days he'll actually get chubby. Thanks for every ones wonderfully nice comments!!

TYTAN

HELP!!!

I need help!!! Ever since Tytan was born my hair has never been the same. I feel like it always looks so fine and flat. No matter how hard I try my usual hair routine is not working. I know a lot of you out there use rockin' hair products or have little secrets that always work. So please give me any little secrets you may have. I know all of you have a couple you want to share with someone in need . Any little thing will help, etc. brand of curlers, flat iron, hairspray, anything. Seriously my hair is in need of something new before I wake up one morning and decide to shave it all off like Brittney.
